Frequency hopping communication network plays an important role in the military communication. And the design of the data link layer protocol, especially the part of multiple-access is one of the key technologies in networking. The TDMA protocols in frequency hopping communication network are mainly researched in this paper, and the main research work and achievements are as follows:Firstly, an access protocol based on TDMA is achieved in Frequency -hopping radio, and the protocol also supports the transmission of data and voice at the same time. Combined with the synchronization mechanism of frequency hopping, the process of modularization design and the corresponding data construction are presented in detail. Meanwhile, the feasibility of this protocol is confirmed with testing.Secondly, a dynamic TDMA algorithm base on local priority and operational payload is proposed in this paper. The algorithm, which we called P-TDMA algorithm, uses the relevant theories and needs of TDMA frequency-hopping radio access protocol. Through the two-step exchange of information with the neighbor nodes, time slots can be occupied dynamically based on the load size by the node, and therefore made the efficient use of time slot achieved. Finally, it carried on the simulation to the algorithm, and gave an analysis of the simulation result.
