The effect of atmospheric speckle bring a direct impact on the tracking accuracy of Acquisition,Pointing and Tracking(APT) system, thereby affect the performance of Free Space Optical Communication(FSO) system. In this paper, based on the theoretical analysis of the laser atmospheric transmission characteristics, mathematical model about the effect of atmospheric speckle and atmospheric scintillation which caused by atmospheric turbulence has been established, focusing on the use of random phase screen simulation method, and then the experimental system of laser atmospheric transmission characteristics has been designed to test the atmospheric turbulence effects, the suppression methods to the effects of atmospheric turbulence also has been explored.According to the theoretical analysis,numerical simulation and experimental test, this paper can get the following conclusions: the error of detect precision induced by speckleeffect can reach more than 10μrad, wide-caliber receiver can effectively suppress the effectof atmospheric speckle and atmospheric scintillation effects on APT system, however, wide-caliber also can augment the spot's areas.
