The laser has been used in precise processing area more and more widely due to its tiny focus point ,high power density and small heat-affected zone for materials welding. The goal of this paper is to achieve conection between micron sized bridge wire (NiCr alloy wire) and millimeter sized plug in detonator,but these two workpiece have different thermal physical parameters and the size difference is about three orders of magnitude,so there is a problem of different-types materials welding which makes the welding not easy to achieve. Baesed on physical principle of laser interactions with materials and heat transfer theory of laser welding, the paper has provides dual-beam laser powder-cladding welding technique, design dual-beam laser welding system and make a detailed analysis of the alloy powder properties and the wettability of welding beads. Based on lots of welding experiments, the experiments have selected and optimized the welding parameters such as laser pulse energy, pulse width , focus points spacing and so on. The paper has achieved the welding between micron sized metal wire and large workpiece which has a certain value in the laser precise processing area.
