In recent years, along with the continuous increased customer and user's requirements, software technology also has a rapid development. Many kinds of software development approaches were invented and used in the software development life cycle, among these new methods, there are 2 famous: RUP and Agile. Both of them are good guidance espe-cially when the project teams are distributed across the countries and regions."Information isolation", "data redundancy", the 2 problems which are bothered developer teams so much is now also troubles the distributed testing teams. In such circumstances, effective communication and management methods would be the 2 key points which will affect the result of the testing and even the success of the project. A tool which could share information between distributed teams and a platform which could integrate the test-ing tools which teams are currently use is a way to resolve the puzzles. This paper first discusses the history of software testing and then analyses the common problems that currently software testing managers or testing team leaders could probably meet. Among which the following 2 problems are the most common problems: how to share the information effectively and how to secure the information when it transferes through the internet. In order to solve these 2 problems, the paper discusses some solutions and their advantages and disadvantages and then chooses the SOA (Service Oriented Ar-chitecture) solution, which is famous by its concept of standardization and its characteris-tics of loosely coupled. Finally this paper presents how to use the SOA concept to improve the current soft-ware test management platform which involves how to convert the POJO (plain old Java object) code to web service; how to communication between Java program and non-Java programs; how to develop components that EJB could execute. At last, it summarizes all the work and prospected the following study.
