SCADA system is the main component of urban metro transport power system. It takes the responsibility of monitoring and control for the whole power system along with advanced, open network structure, reliable hardware/software system and a good human-machine interface. Etc.SCADA system is a stratified, distribution control system who is in charge of real-time monitoring and controlling of substations, catenaries and other electrical equipment, handling a variety of alarm and events, in order to protect the normal operation of power system, while improving power system management and maintenance level, improving quality of power supply to ensure system security, reliable operation.SCADA system is divided into three layers: the main station in the dispatch center system, substation station control layer systems and field device level. The three-tier systems communicate via network, such as inter substation communication channel (or self-built channel) , iner-substation integrated automation system. In the whole network topology, the control center control system acts as the governer node while substation control system as the local node, both system are responsible for their own level data acquisition, processing, analysis and real-time control tasks, while the site IED equipment is the key interface. Industrial Ethernet technology application in the field of metro transport SCADA system is a new topic in global. This paper is based on a SCADA integration system design- XURT 2000 system from a vendor, comsidering the characteristics of rail transport power system, focusing on advantage, such as real-time, open-structure, extension attributes from industrial Ethernet technology; also in this paper, a fault tree model of SCADA system is built up and it's discussed using fuzzy fault tree analysis to identify key factors impacting on the effectiveness of SCADA, in order to facilitate troubleshooting and maintenance.The defined system has got the successful experience in Shanghai Metro Line X which will not only make sense on the different network inter-connection, consistency of the platform, optimization of the network structure, but also benefit on the security and openness of the system.
