Library Humanism Management

The ideology of Humanism management which is the achievements of human civilization the earliest can be tracked back to the early "Spring and Autumn Period" thousands years ago. Traditional philosophies all the word had already realized the value of the humanity and proposed the ideology of "government by benevolence" based on it. As the development of the theories of modern management, the ideology of Humanism management exerts a much more influential significance. According to the trend of evolution, Library Humanism Management System understandably becomes the emphasis of the research of library management.Library Humanism management theory, with the discovery of human beings in Marxism as the philosophical basis and the subjective rational human being hypothesis as the psychological basis, covers the three dimensions of theoretical systems of the discovering human beings, cultivating human beings and serving the society. It takes the discovery of the librarians as the basis of the management, the integration of the goal of both library and librarians as the precondition, the establishment of management system and the creation of cultural environment as the external condition, the exploitation of human resource as the major content, and the development for both library and librarian as the ultimate target.This dissertation tends to establish the Library Humanism Management System from both macrocosmic and microcosmic perspectives through the research into theoretical basis, content, dimension and application research. Humanism management is a of library management in this era of information. It is not a revolution caused by the external force in the library management, but to penetrate the humanism management theory into every dimension of the library management. It is not a reform which can be accomplished at one stroke, nor a framework constructed by any specific regulation. It is established gradually in the process of the transformation of the managers'idea in the long-term practice.
