The human-powered search engine is now a controversial rising search engine in internet. Just because it's peculiarly characters, lots of internet users took an active part in it, and finally to realize the internet information exchanging and sharing. It played a great role in both the internet and reality, but brought lots of problems such as internet violence and privacy infringement. This article determined the meaning of this kind of the searching engine firstly, then discuss the arising and the background. By analyzing some human-powered searching events, the article researched it's social functions, and clear the advantages and the shortages compared with the other media and searching engine. Lastly gave some advices on how to take the full advantages of it and to avoid the problems such as internet violence and privacy infringement. The article may be helpful for the argument about the searching engine and promotion of the internet and our social life healthy development.
