Wireless sensor networks are a special kind of self-organizing wireless network, which is deployed in the monitored region by a large number of small size, low cost, and has a sensing, data processing and self-organization party communications, computing power of smart micro-sensor nodes through wireless connect, collaborate with each other to form a wireless network. Referred to as WSN (Wireless Sensor Network). Therefore, the wireless sensor node energy is the most important resource; it has a direct bearing on the survival time of the network. The research shows that consumption of sensor node power consumption mainly in the communication module, the transmission information to perform calculations more than the consumption of energy, so the current routing protocol for wireless sensor networks has become a hot research to study the key issues focused on how to save energy. Network has longer survival time.In this paper, in-depth study and analysis of existing WSN routing protocols based on ant colony algorithm is proposed based on the improvement of the LEACH routing protocol algorithm uses ant colony algorithm is distributed, the characteristics of positive feedback, in cluster head node and SINK nodes to communicate with the stage will arrive at SINK node hop count and link quality into the pheromone in there and the remaining energy of cluster head nodes combined by probabilistic selection of paths of communication The path has been optimized. Then we conducted a simulation using OPNET. Simulation results show that: the algorithm and LEACH algorithm, a better adaptability, a more balanced energy consumption of nodes, the network has also significantly extended the survival time.
