In recent years, in the distribution network the rectifier, the frequency conversion installment, the arc furnace as well as other electric power electronic installation's application increased unceasingly, because these loads had the misalignment, shocking and not balanced use electricity the characteristic, caused in the supply network electric current (voltage) the distortion, produced the massive overtones. These harmonic pollution on the power grid and caused a series of hazards. Harmonic pollution has become a power supply system of one of the issues can not be ignored. In this paper, the basis of existing literature on harmonic suppression and reactive power compensation has done some work.Harmonic suppression of the main methods of passive power filter technology and active power filter technology. This article has first studied the passive electric power filter's parameter and the performance optimization design, through carries on the optimization design using the genetic algorithm to the passive electric power filter, take reduces the filter cost as the goal, and considered that the filter effect, provides factors and so on reactive power, carries on superior win and the inferior wash out according to the genetic algorithm principle the optimized choice, obtains the passive electric power filter's optimized parameter.Then, did to the active electric power filter's overtone examination algorithm has further studied, through alignment, negative, zero phase sequence examination, thus obtained the accurate harmonic current, and the refinement fundamental wave component, then obtained the different compensation instruction electric current. The APF tradition's detection mode only withdraws the fundamental wave ward-order current, compensates in the component to include the fundamental wave negative sequence component and the fundamental wave zero sequence component, the test result is rougher, and the compensation objective function is invariable, this article selects the multi-objective penalty function method, uses the different compensation objective function to the different harmonic power to control APF the output, enhances APF through this nimble compensation way the use efficiency. In addition, the APF cost becomes certain direct proportion relations with its capacity, therefore regarding certain capacity misalignment load, if can reduce APF the capacity to be possible to reduce the cost. APF compensation objectives of a reasonable choice can be to some extent, address the issue.Finally, this paper discusses the hybrid active power filter, combined with passive power filter and active power filter design of the advantages and disadvantages of parallel hybrid active power filter, and to study its performance characteristics...
