The Research Of Testand Fault Diagnosis System For Engine Cold Test Station

Since 1990's, with the development of micro-electronics technology, computer technology, software technology and network technology and its application in detection of engine, new detection theories, detection methods, as well as emerging testing equipments are attracting more and more attentions. The technology of cold test of engine has broken through the traditional hot test in many ways and turns to more efficientter, fastter, higher precision, cold test motivation with little pollution. With the intervention of computer technology and micro-electronics technology into the area of cold test motivation, new detection theories and computer technology's combination results a scene of revolution. A new method may produce a new generation of testing equipments.Engine is the important part of vehicles, so it is important to find out the detection of engine, so as to measure the performance of vehicle. In this paper, the application of virtual instrument technology and the sensor technology to realize engine performance parameters' rapid measure and data processing has been studied. This paper also has developed an engine examination method and enlarged the virtual instrument application area.This research analyzed the development trend in detail of detection of engine, and discussed the questions about current technology of test of engine and examination method. Compared with the traditional testing methods of engine, cold test motivation includes more advantages. Taking the cold testing of engine an examination platform of the engine performance measure is an economic, flexible and suitable choice. The research has analyzed the engine performance characteristic parameters and the measurement principles. Unified sensor technology and signal processing technology, it has developed the cold test and diagnosis of engine system with the PLC control system of Siemens corporation. This is a highly integrated system, combined the data acquisition card, sensors and the corresponding software. It is possible to measure some parameters and to analysis the data at the same time. It has the function of detection of engine offline, and using computing power of computer. Therefore, it is possible to realize fault analysis and intelligent diagnosis function.
