Visibility is one of the most impotant complctions affecting the traffic secure, in our country, many highways occurred lots of accidents heavily and disattroursly due to scurviness weather and low visibility. Visibility has become a basilic inspectal item in the ITS. Whereas, the equipment used by the conventional instrument for inspecting visibility, is more complex and expensive, only applicable for good weather. Therefore, it is a significance research of improving and reforming a new measure visibility technic. The thesis proposes a new project on visbility inpection system based on the 32-bit floating-point Digital Signal Processors. It will be designed as a platform for real-time image processing, which is composed of DSP, CPLD, FALSH and CCD. There are two parts ,hardware and software of this platform. On the hardware part, there are six modulars, the power controller, the image processing, the system memory space, the LCD and develop application program for CPLD, DSP and USB.Therefore, the main work of this paper described as followed:On the side of hardware, it takes charge of the schematic design of image sencor chip, power, CPLD, DSP and memory of system .Also it takes charge of the analysis on the anti-jumming of system circuit. On the side of software, it takes charge of compiling image pretreatment and visibility calculation code, the code of initializing system, the bootloader and FLASH.The mostly production of thesis is composed of the technology of digital image , digital signals and computer, apply to the field of the traffic imformation, which combines the study of traffic information &control engneering and the weather visibility inspection closely.
