Sinter Integrated Control Expert System(SICES) is a management and control system that is designed to improve the level of automatic control, the quality and quantity of sinter production and reduce the consumption of energy for sinter production in steel enterprises.The study on data acquisition&analysis and support platform in SCIES has been implemented the distributed management of control model, data acquisition and mining of the best control parameters based on decision tree algorithm and neural network algorithm. The mined control parameters make the consumption of energy the least under the condition of the quality and quantity of sinter production are satisfied. The main works of this paper are as follows:1. The paper developed the distributed management system of sinter control models. The system implemented to manage the control models in distributed way, show the parameters of control models and adjust the parameters of control models in real-time based on distributed observer design pattern.2. The paper developed the real-time data acquisition system and the automation data acquisition system. The real-time data acquisition system is developed to collect the instantaneous value of industries Tags or NTags, and support to show the real-time data and the historical data based on OPC protocol. Meanwhile, the automation data acquisition system collects the data from Laboratory, MIS/MES and Stock Yard and preprocess the data based on the experts' experience.3. The paper analysed the consumption of energy. Buliding an energy mining model to analysis the historical data in sinter production with decision tree algorithm and neural network algorithm. The best control parameters we got provide guidance to decrease the consumption of energy.SICES had been debugged in the sixth sintering plant of China Shao Gang Company on February 2008 for three months, and had been run stable for 12 months. The system realized automatic and intelligent control of sinter production, and it save the cost of stuff, improve the quality and the production, and has a good economic benefits.
