The Research On Input Method Editors Based On CJK Unified Ideographs Extension B

The Input Method Editors(IME) research on Chinese character is one of the most important subjects of the dealing of the natural language.Since the GB18030-2005 was enacted,many researchers were doing their research on how to create an IME to support the super great character set.The aim of this subject is to implement an IME of Chinese character which are in CJK Unified Ideographs Extension B.In this paper,the designing process of IME was introduced detailed by two parts,one is the creation of the code table,and the other is the process of programming.There are three ways of code adopted by the code table,they are strokes sequence,simple matching of strokes sequence and character figure with radical.When the first way was chosen,user should put in the correct sequence of character,if the second way was used,typing in the first and last four strokes of target character will be ok,while in the third way,only put in the code of radical and character figure,the target character will appear.The programming way of the IME accord with the structure rules of IMM/IME. It is one of the popular ways of IME.As the Chinese characters in CJK Unified Ideographs Extension B are always appearing in ancient books,the implement of the IME will make a great promotion to the digitalization of those ancient books.
