This paper designed one kind of LCD Figure and Character Display System which have USB interface, it can show each kind of information by running the application procedure, such as the time of PC running, taking rate of CPU and memory, as well as the Winamp player. If adds an memory chip to the system, it can also realize the information storage function, thus as a microreader, serves as the information record tool, therefore, this topic research has certain practical significance.In this paper, the design mode of epigyny-hypogyny machine is adopted and their communication is realized by USB transmission.In the epigyny machine software system, the algorithm to create the data of Figure and character are studied. Then an extraction and reconstruction algorithm to create the dada of Figure and character with every lattice size is designed. The two-value lattice image storage style is adopted and the character image is segmented to 32 rows and 122 columns, then extracted 32×122 points to be the Figure and character data, but the thin stroke may not be extracted and the fonts can not be completely displayed. To improve it, the more-segment and less-extraction method is adapted: first segment the image to integral multiple's 32×122 parts and at the same time 32×122 points, which can make sure the complete extraction of Figure and character. And the other stroke thinning algorithm, erosion algorithm, is also presented to solve the problem that the strokes will turn thick when displayed. The result proves that the algorithm is feasible and can perfectly display Figure and character.In the hypogyny machine system, the single-chip microcomputer control system to display Figure and character is designed, including USB transmission module, memory module and liquid crystal display module. First, the hardware interface circuit of every module is designed and the firmware program is compiled. In the firmware programming process, the design method of hierarchical structure is adopted and respectively conducts function encapsulation for interface layer, chip layer and protocol, then conducts function call in application layer. Next, it realizes the liquid crystal display, the read and write of memory and the identification of epigyny and hypogyny machine system. At last, it compiles the driver program of electronic conference-board by Driver Studio language to realize the USB transmission.Finally the system runs normally by demonstration and the experiments prove feasibility of the design project of electronic conference-board.
