In this paper,an Control on the basis of the conveyance of the video information between S3C2410X processor and PC system was designed.This program has two parts:server part and client part. In the client part, the realization of video data collection, format conversion, displayed on LCD screen display, compression coding, and sent to the PC machine through the network. In the server part, the realization of video data reception, decoding extract, preserved and displayed.In this paper, the client part using UP-NETARM2410-S embedded developing platform as the hardware platform, embedded Linux operating system as the software platform, c language programming to achieve the various functions of the client; the server part using Windows operating system as the software platform, C++ language programming to achieve the various functions of the server.In this paper,the selection ARM9 embedded processor S3C2410X in the client part,the system captures video data by WEBEYE V2000 USB camera,designs video capture program by Video4Linux APIs.The realization of LCD screen display based on that FrameBuffer carries on video data of programming reveals,coding of compression algorithm xvidcore, using UDP protocol to deliver the video data;in the server part,VC++ as the programing environment,programing to receive video data,format conversion.network connectivity,as well as the display of image data,saved as bitmaps.This thesis consists of five chapters:The first chapter provides the research background of topics.The second chapter introduces the platforms of software and hardware and its establishment. Including the choice of S3C2410X processor hardware environment,The establishment of cross-compiling environment, PC hardware environment and the programming environment and so on.The third chapter discusses the overall subject proposal and composition modules of the system. Including the data collection based on V4L, the display of video data based on FrameBuffer. the compression and decompression of Video data,the Network transmission,the playback of PC and so on.The forth chapter presents the analysis of realization of each composition modules of system. Including programming realization all of module that chapter three put forward .The fifth chapter summarizes the thesis and points out that the future research directions.
