Research On Hierarchical Private Key Management Scheme Of Wireless Sensor Networks

With the development of sensor,wireless communication and data processing, wireless sensor networks(WSN) which are a new technology about acquiring and processing information emerge. Mmultiple sensor nodes constitute sensor networks through wireless communication and self-organizing. In wireless sensor networks, lots of sensor nodes work cooperatively to gather and process information from sensor fields, with wireless communication and self-organization. WSN can be used for various applications, such as military fields, environment research and outer space exploration.Because of the opening of deployment area and the character of wireless networks,WSN is prone to be traffic-listened and suffers other different types of malicious attacks. Ssecurity becomes extremely important. In order to achieve clear communications, communication content encryption and authentication is essential. But for limiting of node resources, the traditional network which was used by key management scheme program is unable to apply to wireless sensor networks.This dissertation briefly introduces the concept of wireless sensor networks and particularly advances a new managing scheme which based on cluster aim at the security issues of sensor networks. this dissertation also analyzed security and energy consumption of communication about this dissertation. This scheme is validated by computer simulation through OPNET.In the process of establishing scheme, how to set up and manage the keys is the focus and difficulties of this dissertation. Based on this, an algorithm of key distribution which based on clustering information is proposed. The base station sends the public key and set up communication between base stations and cluster nodes. The communication was used by symmetric encryption among clusters. The base station manages the whole information of network and sends the updated informations of key regularly. Nodes add and exit though registering and deleting information in the base station.The scheme adapt to hierarchical routing protocol for Wireless Sensor Networks. Sensor networks which are constructed by this scheme can ensure the security of itself, reduces energy consumption, prolongs the available using life of the equipments. This scheme supports networks dynamic changes which extend the life of network.
