In the last decade an increasing number of sensors and actuators have been employed in automotive systems. The first reason is that the correct operation of modern electronically controlled engines is based on a high number of measurements. Moreover the growing demand on security and comfort pushes toward an increasing use of suitable sensors and actuators. So many scholars pay more attention to the on-board fault diagnosis of engine sensors. The function of Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensors is reflected the vehicle motor loading situation by dedecting the air pressure in the Intake Air Bypass (IAB) or stable pressure box. Then the vehicle motor loading situation is converted to signal input ECU.Firstly, this dissertation introduced the technology of the automobile sensors, as well as the development at domestic and abroad, and then compared several common sensors performances. The working principle and output speciality of the Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor are introduced here. This dissertation conducted fundamental research into several key issues of hermetic MEMS and optoelectronic devices by integrating theory, numerical simulation, and experiments. The research work has been focused on the individual steps of processing, such as cleaning, die attach, wire bonding, and hermetic sealing (capping), and come up with the key issues to ensure the stable and reliable packaging processes. As to the design of hardware, evaluation board circuit diagrams are presented to programmer for pressure sensors. The sensors module is also presented in detail. The calibration experiment of MAP sensor was completed on a calibration experiment stage which was designed by us. Its linear models are achieved on the basis of experimental data for a kind of commercial pressure sensors. And a mumber of test data were acquired which is applied to found mathematic models.At last, the dissertation introduced the device for environment performance test. Used the Unigraphics Solutions company of UG software designed the pressure container made of aluminium. Result of function and environment test is given at the end of the thesis. All functions meet acquirement, its accuracy is better. In the end, according to the analysis of the experimental results, some conclusions from this paper have been proved. Ideas for future were also proposed.
