Along with the unceasingly enriching of the IEEE802.16 criteria, WiMAX technology is becoming maturity, mobile WiMAX base station and terminal research process is branching and improving, The test proving of the mobile WiMAX termination is imperative. As far as now, international famous instrument manufacturer including Agilent, R&S, Anritsu, Keithley and so on, have all exploited relevant test system. Seeing that as the WiMAX frequency band contradict with our country's TD-SCDMA standard, so the applying foreground of the WiMAX technology in china is blue, the relevant test instrument and system aiming at mobile WiMAX termination at the domestic is rarely used. An architect scheme based on software-defined-radio configure WiMAX mobile communication terminal testing system is brought up in this paper and the WiMAX mobile communication terminal testing principle and technique is fully studied.This subject "the research of mobile communication terminal testing system based on WiMAX" admeasured the system's total design scheme and operational principle after analyzing physical and testing norm of the mobile WiMAX. And then deeply parsed the main component's selecting scheme and principle, compared with the traditional testing instrument the subject presented the system design way based on software-defined-radio to improve the instrument's flexibility without increasing hardware and cost, just using the upgrade software to upgrade the upgrade system's testing standard,parameter and function.There are two sections in this paper design: vector signal generating and vector signal analyzing. In the generator segment we can use the arbitrarily waveform to generate software data and send it to the generator block to proceed operation such as all sort of modulation,coding forming intermediate-frequency signal and then through analogue mixing forming Radio Frequency output. In the analyzing part there are signal capture, data storage, and vector signal analyzing in this subject. By using the active soft and hardware platform this system can realize high precision waveform generating and relevant Radio Frequency parameter testing.The system employed embed Linux operating system in the micro-controller, which made the system can be of ability with multi-mission process beside the system can go round more reliable and stable. The system's additional LXI and USB interface made the system can communicate with other instrument or remote control platform convenience, improving the system's flexibility.The subject bring up some Radio Frequency testing algorithm for WiMAX mobile communication terminal in the system, including error vector amplitude analysis I/Q signal amplitude and phase error analysis in modulation area, power error analysis in code area, complementary function and band stray radiation and so on.In this paper, we proposed a design scheme of mobile communication terminal testing system based on WiMAX, a software-defined-radio testing system using DSP, FPGA, ARM9 to drive high speed high precision ADC and DAC as its signal processing and controlling center to realize a precise testing for the WiMAX mobile terminal Radio Frequency parameter.
