Design And Implementation Of WSDL ICS Proforma

The conformance testing for network management interface includes conformance testing of communication protocol, information model and management functions. Among them, information model conformance testing is a necessary means to check whether the management system or the managed devices consist with the standard of the management information model. The implementation conformance statement (ICS) is a main basis to decide the test contents of interface information model conformance testing and to construct the related test cases. Moreover, the verified ICS is an important reference for later interconnection and intercommunication between different manufacturers. Therefore, ICS proforma has great significance to the information model conformance testing.Webservice network management interface is an important development direction of network management interface, the conformance testing for which is an important means to ensure "interconnection", "intercommunication" and "interoperation" between different Webservice-based network management systems. Now Webservice network management interface has been applied in practice, and test of the interface has been placed on the agenda. However, the related test technology has not been reached maturity, and there is no standard test proforma defined or used in practical tests. In the process of executing the test, it is difficult to control the test quality and reliability. Thus, defining a suit of standard ICS proforma for information model conformance testing of Webservice network management interface becomes an urgent need.In this paper, on the basis of drawing lessons from ITU-T methodology for ICS proforma, according to analysis of WSDL syntax rules, and combine with the conformance testing requirements of Webservice network management interface, finally, we proposed the WSDL-based ICS proforma. It includes two versions: WSDL 1.1 and WSDL 2.0, which could well-satisfied the information model conformance testing requirements of Webservice network management interface. Then, according to the requirements of WSDL-based ICS proforma, we designed and developed an ICS proforma automatic generating system, which has already been used in network management research center of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. Besides, we also cleared up technique issues of WSDL parsing method, XML Schema parsing method and customize style of ICS proforma. What's more, it is the first time that the Index Tree technology of ICS Proforma is proposed, which is a perfection of ITU-T methodology for ICS proforma.
