Research Of Intelligent Video Monitor System For Residential Districts

With the development of our society and the improvement of people's living standard, we demand for better living environment, advances in technology make traditional ponderous and stiff devices gradually favor in beauty outlook and simply operations, bring a better mobility and higher real-time, meet the increasing hope for more safe, comfortable and convenient living environment by people. The embedded system usually faces to special implication, usually has the requirement of real time, the designation of the software and the hardware for the embedded system usually have the high efficient requirements, it must act according to the actual circumstance and carry out higher capability on limited resources, and all this based on the stabilization, safety and credibility. This paper presents the design of video monitor in intelligentized ACS(Access Control System) which is based on 32 bits ARM. The system uses ARM processor and USB camera with the chip of ZC301, which is low in price and high in quality. Through the module of wireless, exceptional pictures will be sent back to the terminal system.With regards to the hardware design, the video inspecting system is consist of USB camera, processor of S3C2410 and LCD, and as it connects to PC through wireless, then they compose function of the video monitor for the embedded access control system.As far as the software design, it contains the system software transplant and the applications development. System softeware includes that establish cross-compiler environment, transplant BootLoader and embedded Linux kernel to the target of ARM platform. Applications run on the platform of ARM and it include design of LCD driver, video capturing and wireless module.
