Design And Implementation Of University Student Management System Based On ASP.NET

With the spread of Internet in recent years,more and more schools build web sites through which the schools can be shown in many areas among which the students' managerial system is an important part.It takes double tasks,one is for the school register management,and the other is for the immediate information of the parents about the students' performances in schools.A new era of rapid development in higher education came into being,enrollment scale in all schools increasingly enlarged,the burden of the teaching management is becoming heavier and heavier.The use of the traditional managerial mode(e.g.managing by hand or managerial system without fully open) will definitely waste a large quantity of manpower material resources and financial resources. How to improve the management of the students' information and how to build a managerial system for the students' information has been a problem to be urgently solved in the process of the informationization. The students management system that is mostly with responsibility for the students' information management of colleges and universities has been opened up by our university,which it includes the parts as follow: student basic information management,students grade management, courses management,students whole appraise,physical testing,tuition fee management,scholarship management and users management.This management system can be operated on Windows 2000 Server or Windows 2003 Server,the Web server is IIS,database server is Microsoft SQL Server 2000,the development tool is Microsoft Visual Studio.NET and Dream Weaver.The operating procedures are:Users register and are classified by right,the ordinary users can only browse,read and consult the students' information.In addition,the administrator of the system can have the functions such as managing the students' basic information, operating school reports and so on.The purpose of using the technology of WEB to build an operating platform for the students' information is to do a research on teaching,administrative mode based on Internet.Based on this new mode,the colleges or universities can build a new teaching administrative environment,breaking through the limitation of time and space,improving the working efficiency and administration,offering the opportunities for the administrators,teachers and students to study.This system's security is thoroughly taken into consideration by establishing the IIS security management for the system,and encrypting the users' information stored in the database.The technology of ADO.NET is used for accessing the database connected directly with OLE DB,which makes the process of access simplified and the efficiency of access high,thus make the whole information management operate in high efficiency and stable,and manage a larger quantity of access.
