Reasearch And Design Of The RF Power Amplifier

With the development of wireless communications and microelectronics technologies, modern communication is developing towards adding channel capability, mufti-carrier, mufti-level, widening the frequency and higher PAR. All these changes make the design of wireless communication equipment more difficulty. As the core of the transmitter, the performance of RF power amplifier restricts the technique level of the whole system. We discuss the design process of RF power amplifier and have designed and implemented RF power amplifier of bi-direction with power being 500mw. The works included in this paper are as follows:1. RF power amplifier is introduced including technical indicators, technical requirements and general methods of design, and then the method to improve the memory effect by circuit design is put forward to.2. The whole RFPA circuits are designed in this thesis. The circuit is designed by special two parallel components, effectively improving the amplifier power up to 500mw while the bi-direction circuit is also designed.3. The radiating, crosstalk and resonance of PCB is analyzed, the PCB of RF power amplifier is designed by Protel .According to the EMC principle. Moreover, a shielding box is designed to cool and shield the RF power amplifier.4. RF power amplifier's test schemes including S parameters, power, and gain have been executed, and the result is also given.
