Currently, people's demand for quality of service, network security, operating and management, is becoming more and more urgent, while the high complexity of traditional network make it not an easy way to operate, manage, and deploy new business. Thus the traditional structure of the internet is facing a deep restructuring and reform.By applying proper and effective mechanisms for measuring, autonomic network can aware its environment, users, and services state, according to which the self-adjustment and optimization can be made, therefore the burden of network management will be reduced. Also, the implementation of integrated monitoring and security mechanisms make it possible to manage a large number of users effectively.CAANM (context-aware autonomic network mode) is to build a new context-aware autonomic network architecture with the main idea of layered autonomic control loops (collect - analyze - decide - execute), in order to support network self-management, heterogeneous communications and provide QoS.First, the thesis introduces the background of CAANM project and the current research progress on Context-Aware; second, it introduces autonomic network and context system technology. Then, it shows the CAANM architecture, how the control loops work; After that, the paper presents a detail design and implementation for the context sub-system of CAANM. In the end, the paper describes the progress and results of function and integrate test to the context sub-system, and concludes the main task of the paper, points out the defects and the improving method of the measuring system.
