Internet is developing rapidly with each passing day, which has revolutionized people's life. However, as the scale of Internet increased greatly and the services becoming more and more rich, the conventional network architecture is facing unprecedented pressures and challenges. Management of network is becoming more complex, the efficiency of network turns to be lower, and it cannot meet the changing quality of service requirements. To explore novel network architecture is the only way to cope with emerging problems fundamentally, and there is a growing research community working in this field.Autonomic network is an important direction of designing novel network architecture, which originates from the research of autonomic computing and autonomic communication. It seeks to implement the network architecture with self-* attributes including self-organization, self-management, self-configuration, self-aware, self-optimization, self-protection, self-healing etc. It can improve the network to adapt to evolving aspects such as topology, traffic load, service requirement and network physical characteristics autonomously. Autonomic network architecture can simplify the network management and work with less manual intersection. Autonomic network develops independent of end systems, it can be characterized as service oriented, self-organizing, radically distributed and scalable .So it is the trend of the development of network architecture.Autonomic routing service is the basic service of autonomic network , this thesis is one of the sub thesis of the national "863" program sponsored project - "Context Aware based Autonomic Network Model(CAANM)" .It mainly does research about autonomic routing protocols, which is the key technology of implementing autonomic networks.First, this thesis introduces the related background of autonomic network, and then it depicts the network architecture of CAANM and CAANM routing framework briefly. According to the principles of autonomic network, this thesis tries to design autonomic routing protocols in CAANM routing framework. Through the study of recent development of routing technology, it summarizes the directions of design autonomic routing protocols. Then, it seeks to make use of QoS routing methods to implement context aware based autonomic routing protocols. On the basis of simulation of QOSPF, this thesis proposes a multi-class QoS routing protocol MQOSPF. This protocol expands the context of conventional QoS routing protocols, considers the state of BE traffic load. The result of simulation demonstrates that MQOSPF extends the autonomic attributes of QOSPF, can improve the performance of network greatly.At last, the major work of this thesis is summarized, and the existent insufficiencies and future research directions are pointed out.
