Design And Implementation Of The Financial Management Information System

With the continual development of technology, especially computer technology, the internet, as the fourth medium, has intruded human life as suddenly as a flash of lightning. The speed of obtaining information through the Net is faster than radio, television, and newspaper; the information is not recorded by means of papery materials, but stored in computers and shared via the Net. Since the beginning of the 21^st century, information technology (IT) has undertaken a growingly important role in modern society. Information system (IS) is a computer system used to aid business management, including intelligence expert system, decision support system, management information system (MIS), business management system, and operation management system, with MIS being a very important part. Meanwhile, as the reform of the financial system goes deeper, the financial management in all departments has been enhanced. As a result, financial management needs wider and deeper information and it also demands more timeliness. This will not only increase more work for the grass-roots units, but also restrict the management work from going deeper.Based on this trend, in connection with the related problems, this thesis studies and analyses the financial management conditions of Suzhou Health College. On the basis of the financial management principles and the work flow, a network financial MIS based on B/S is designed, which is proved and enhanced by effectively using VPN technology and Data warehousing technology. Some solutions concerning network safety are also put forward. By collecting information of multiaspect, properly distributing, utilizing and managing resources, this hi-tech terrace aims to fulfill optimum efficiency and benefit of the utilization of all resources, so as to solve the contradictions and promote scientific management.This thesis mainly focuses on the following tasks:1. It studies and explains the background of the project development, and the research and development environment of the present college; and analyses the demand of a financial MIS design.2. Starting from the contrast and choice of different development tools of network application system, the thesis introduces step by step the fundamental concepts and knowledge related with the present application system. Special emphasis is laid on the working principles and characteristics, the importance and the value, of the development tools of the present application system.3. It analyses the design objectives and functional requirements of the system; and after contrasting various development models of network application system, the thesis proposes a three-layer-system framework design based on WEB, and elaborates the B/S framework in detail.4. It also analyses the potential safety problems of the financial MIS and proposes accordingly the solutions and prevention measures.5. Based on theory and analysis, the thesis states the advantages and realization principles of the two key techniques applied in the system. It also introduces comprehensive design and functional implementation of the financial MIS.
