With the development of our country information industry and accelerated pace of agricultural information construction, the development of agricultural products' information platform have been promoted tremendously. However, developments of different places are unbalanced. Some economically-developed provinces in the Yangtze River Delta or Peal River Delta have already built some information service platform of agricultural products one after another, but in central and western regions with higher proportion of agricultural industry and rural population the synthetic information service and business circulation of agricultural products are still staying on traditional mode instead of using information technology method effectively. Meanwhile, the information platform still has some limitations like the regionality of the platform is too distinct though it has already been built in some economically-developed regions. In addition, owning to the isomerism of the entire internet and the diversity of information platform, information resources for agricultural products can not be shared and reused sufficiently, and phenomenon of development repeatedly is very grave. So the urgent task is that how to support dynamic integration of information resources for agricultural products in WAN and transregional environment and to make sharing and reusing information resources for agricultural products which dispersing in some isolated and enclosed areas in the dynamic platform opening to the outside world come true.In order to solve the problems mentioned above better, this study introduced semantic grid. It is able to describe distributed agricultural products resources and services in different areas of our country using one way that can be understood and handled by computer, making semantic interoperability realized and adequately resolving the sharing and reusing the cross-platform, heterogeneous and isomerized resources. Therefore, study on the semantic grid has very strong theory significance and application value in the field of agricultural products' information platform.This study has been put forward a semantic grid platform on the basis of DartGrid Frame for the purpose of sharing and dynamic integration of agricultural products after studying the Grid and Semantic Web Technology. This paper firstly had analysed the current situation of agricultural products' information platform, the existing problems and the requirements of Grid and Semantic Web Technology based on the study of Semantic Web Technology, Grid Technology and Semantic Grid Technology. Then put forward the concept of agricultural products' Semantic Grid. Secondly, this paper emphasized the system frame of agricultural products' information platform on the basis of Semantic Grid, made the definition of three core services of semantic service layer including agricultural products ontology service, semantic registration service and semantic query service and semantic tools of user layer, and explained the key technologies about how to design semantic browser and semantic registration tool, also its realization. At last, this study applied agricultural products semantic grid to a representative circumstance, then described the process of semantic browsing, querying and registering of agricultural products by local database administrator and end user, and verified the feasibility of the study.
