Seated in the port city—Tianjin, the Tianjin Port is a world famous port with thousands of vessels navigating in and out. As a result, there may be a large number of potential mobile phone users in the port. With the continuous development of the near sea zone, more and more communication requirements on network coverage, including the requirements of sea-lane workers and drilling workers and the requirement of fishery boat and sea travelers, need to be satisfied.Aimed at the above problems, an in-depth research is carried on the Tianjin's offshore network coverage in this paper. And a reasonable solution is provided here according to the actual geographical environment and the distribution of wireless base stations.Based on an analysis of research, finally determined by the base station to carry out coastal transformation, the installation of base-station power amplifiers and tower power amplifier means to enhance the base station transmitting power and to gain compensation for the uplink in order to achieve long-distance coverage. Through the implementation of specific operations, effective expansion of the sea covered the distance of about eight kilometers from the original coverage extended to 30 kilometers near the coverage, and achieved good results. Some conclusions are summed up from this paper: Only by investigating comprehensively, analyzing systematically, exploring carefully and thinking innovatively can we resolve problems and find better ways for network optimization in the future.
