As a newly emerging application technology in wireless communication field, RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) has been widely used in industrial automation, business automation, transportation management, and other fields. Designers of RFID systems must be aware of the strict regulations to avoid system incompatibility with local limits. In recent years, the research and application related to RFID developed rapidly. However, the research has mainly focused on the application of the chip in different areas, not on the basic problem about RFID data communication. The research abroad in this aspect is more extensive, but focusing on separate study on the composition of the various modules in RFID system. It is rare to establish models of the entire RFID system and to use computer simulation to study the performance of RFID systems. This thesis says something on the research of UHF RFID, including the status, the principle and the international standard. On the basis of analyzing communication type of RFID, the protocol blocks are researched. RFID communication system is established using interactive modeling and interactive simulation. According to international standard ISO/IEC 18000-6, the model is simulated in Chinese trial frequency range 920MHz to 925MHz. With specific modulation type and specific data rate, time-domain waveform and spectrum peculiarity of UHF RFID system is studied by changing coding type and modulation depth. And the relation between SNR (signal to noise) and SER (symbol error ratio) is offered. And then GSM system is modularized and modeled with Matlab language. Signals from a RFID reader is interfered by GSM communication system. And the degradation of the data error rate of the RFID system will be recorded. Different implementation schemes are used to explore whether or not a better electromagnetic compatibility will be achieved. Research methods and research results in this paper can offer reference for practical RFID system design and application.
