HART is short for the Highway Addressable Remote Transducer protocol, which is used for the communication between the field smart meters and the controlling device in the room. Since it was proposed by the American Rosement company in 1985, it occupied most of the market and it kept developing and growing. Recently it has been adopted by more than 66.7 percent filed devices in the world and now it is becoming the true international standard of the intelligent industrial controlling filed.Industrial wireless technology is another hot technology after the filed buses in industrial control and automation filed. It is a revolutionary technology which could reduce the cost for industrial measuring and controlling, and it will become the new growing point for the industrial automatic products in the future. The combination of the filed buses and the wireless communication technology will make the wireless communication enter the field devices layer of the industrial controlling field rapidly.Then, it will bring a lot of advantages, such as reduce the investment cost, save the installing time, cut down the using cost, cover the area which could not be reached by wired communication, besides, it is very flexible , easy for using,maintaining and alteration.Considering the wild using situation of HART and the requirement of industrial wireless communication, this paper proposes a wireless HART communication scheme which combines the HART filed bus and the wireless communication technology. Firstly, it introduces the HART specification, then analyzing the key points of changing the wired communication into wireless communication, which are the choice of a certain system topology for the wireless HART communication system. As a result, we choose the star-grid hierarchy cluster topology architecture as the system topology of the wireless HART communication referring to the practical environment of the smart meter communication. It could support the present communication without any wires. Secondly, it elaborates the network's topology in detail, designs the hardware structures and gives the important module circuits and the interfaces of them. Finally, it gives the definite software flow. In this part, it designs the network building procedure,defines the key data structs and devises the process of the communication between the devices. Besides it gives a set way of testing the wireless HART network. During the whole design, it takes the low power factor,compatibility factor into consideration.
