OAM Founctions And Realization In ATM Network

It's very important to support OAM in the maintenance and management of ATM network. But it's very limit about the research. This research is based on the national project. My main purpose of the design is to realize the FM and PM function in the ASIC according to ITU-T's advice and considering of whole chip's system. The FM OAM function aims at Fault Management, including Fault Alarm and Continuity Check. The PM OAM function aims at Performance Monitoring, including Forward Performance Monitoring and Backward Report. As a result, the FM and PM function has been realized by verilog design and strict simulation.
