Component-based Software Engineering (CBSE) or component-based development (CBD)not only is a software development model. But also is hotspot in Software reuse theory research. Through reuse existing components, software developers can use "plug and play" structure to develop software by supporting of the Component Object Model. This will not only save time and resources and improve work efficiency, but also have a more standardized, more reliable applications. Component Technology makes software system developers no longer have to fully comply with "all start from scratch" pattern of development, they can use their own advantaged technological specifications to develope under different components on base of meeting the component interface. By getting permission can be free to use these components to build users needed software systems. Because of the short development cycle, the efficiency, flexibleness, easy "plug and play" and the advantages of parallel development ,this develop model is most preferred.In the research of Integrated Material Experiment Module in Space (IMEMS), testing in the ground play an important role in the developing. This software has the function of IMEMS is tested,experimented and validated on ground. As the PC software of the ground testing system, the software provides the tools of monitoring, control, statistics collecting data, analyzing data, alarm. The following functions are to be achieved: monitoring analog signal values and engineering data, sending controlling commands, analyzing statistics of historical data, managing experimental data and monitoring remotely. The work has been finished: requirement analysis, preliminary design, detailed design and realization of some functions (including monitoring by chart, graph and profile, sending control commands and other related features).In this paper, first introduce the basic theory and method component-based software engineering. It also show the design process on base of this theory and the prospect of the project.
