CPU power supply circuit on Mother Board is one of the most important part of the whole PC hardware circuits .This thesis was based on the project of Foxconn MB 9X5M01 power system.To meet the requirement of CPU load, a newly 4 phase synchronous PWM buck converter circuit was designed which could supply low voltage and high current .The circuit was tested by Pspice simulation and real experiment.Firstly, the character of load and VRD10 was introduced for the aim of making specifications. Secondly the power part was focused on the design of a high speed N-MOSFET self-boot driver and the ways of choose output choke and capacitance .Thirdly the loop compensation control circuit was designed using the Type 3. Specially, Droop way was introduced to regulate the output voltage according to the change of output current. Fourthly the PWM controller ISL6312 modle was built through software Cadence 15.5.At last ,the experiment waveforms were showed to test the system performence.
