A Novel Life Detecting System Research And Design Based On Cell Phone Detecting

This paper is from the fund project of the earthquake industry in 2008 called the research of new life detection approaches and technology based on cell-phone signal. It has been finished due to the directions and support of Professor Guo yong and lecturer & Doctor Gao song.China is a country full of strong earthquake disasters. The faster cities develop, the more potential damages earthquake disasters cause. It will bring people enormous loss if destructive earthquake happens. So how to minimize the loss earthquake causes is the imperative duty of the protecting against and mitigating the earthquake disasters. And how to search effectively the survivals is the key of the disaster rescue.To meet the rescue requirement after a disaster, a new life detection system is proposed in this paper. It is based on the principle that a cell phone will give a registering signal after switching to another cellular network. The system searches the survivals by detecting the cell-phone signal transmitted by the cell-phone carried with the survivals.Firstly, this paper proposes the basic principle of the searching system. It proves the possibility of the searching system capable of detecting the registering signal. The technical scheme and the main idea of the system are also included.Secondly, it can be concluded that there are four basic modes for the buried cell-phone in the earthquake scene through analyzing the environment of it using the experimenting and looking up the documents. They are ideal and non-ideal masks within and without the cellular network.Later, the principle of the main structure of the system is demonstrated and the implementation proposal is also included. Then, this paper analyzes the technologies of the present system of mobile communication and states the basic structure, function and the communication process of the GSM system, which determines the principle and scheme of this new life detection system. And then it introduces the function design of the imitating base station which is the core of the system.Successively this paper introduces the positioning scheme of the life detection system by researching special antenna and the model of the positioning is also created.Due to the initiative detecting technology, the system can detect and position roughly the cell phone within and without the cellular network, and consequently provide a reliable method to search and rescue survivals after an earthquake.
