Software Defined Radio(SDR)is a core technology to the domain of wireless communication. It supports the rapid establishment of flexible, modular, multi-rate, multi-mode wireless communication system.SDR can solve interoperability issue during the wireless communications with different standards, and re-programme for the new standard, dynamically update structure of the wireless interface defined by the software. Future wireless devices and wireless terminals will have to support multiple air interfaces and modulation formats.SDR technology can be re-configurable multi-standard hardware platform for wireless devices and wireless mobile terminals with the function of this area.Mobile terminal system resources are basically computing and communication resources. Processing power required by function module and bandwidth allocation between modules in terminal system determine the SDR hardware platform structure design. Each function module of the same standard mobile terminals is assigned to the different signal processing devices, the mobile terminals support the different rate, so the processing requirements are also different to a same function module.Moreover, different processors and different connection approaches are choosed, consequently, the different structure platforms as homogeneous, heterogeneous, bus, etc. are constituted.Based on the broadband intermediate-frequency band-pass sampling SDR structure, computing resource management for SDR platforms was in depth researched, processing power of SDR platforms was analyzed with the mainstream devices, and WLAN and TD-SCDMA mobile terminal data flow processing and bandwidth allocation models based on SDR were established, that is, the homologous mobile terminal system resources models. Each function module of the data flow processing chains of Mobile Terminal was mapped to SDR hardware platforms and the cost function value was calculated by introducing t-mapping algorithm and cost function. We researched system resource management algorithm, exposed our approach about system resource allocation management of mobile terminal based on SDR platforms, presented extensive analysis of simulation results for the adaptability of WLAN and TD-SCDMA mobile terminals. The foundation was laid for in-depth research of the future multi-rate, multi-mode intelligent mobile terminal and optimized design of the SDR platform.
