The development of communications network experiences from simplicity to complication, from complication to distribution. With the popularity of broadband network these years, digital coding technology is raised constantly, that makes streaming media develop quickly and are applied in distance education,VOD and so on.CDN(Content Delivery Network) is born for enhancing the performance of network application. It sends content of website to the nearest location of customer PC through adding one new network structure, so the customer can get needed content nearby, internet jam is handled in some way and the speed of website response is accelerated.Another technology of alleviating the burden of backbone network is P2P, it is the abbreviation of Peer to Peer (P2P) or Point to Point (P2P), P2P mechanism allows user's computer directly to connect to other computer to exchange files, rather than to connect to the server to browse and download as in the past, another important feature of P2P is to change the current big-centric Website status, return to the "decentralization" and give power back to the user.This paper refers to culture sharing project which Shandong Inspur Group participate in and post a more reasonable solution with CDN network structure way, distributing resources of cultural information to various nodes of country to provide broadcast, multicast, video on demand, downloading and other businesses. At the same time, in order to ease the load pressure on the backbone network, improve server performance and expandability and transmit data directly between nodes,An optimization method of P2P application in connection with metropolitan area network is posted.
