Video monitoring is widely used by safety guard,product management,and so on.It plays an important role in the environment monitoring.And the video codec technology is the key in video monitoring.As the latest video codec standard,H.264 has the advantage of high compression rate.Due to its complexity of calculation,the application of this standard is still limited.Blackifin processor is the pointing device produced by ADI Company,with lower power consumption and high-powered performance.It is the perfect DSP flatform realizing the H.264 encoding and decoding algorithm.Thesis is based on a number of existing research results based on the results of the analysis of these achievement,correct some shortcomings of previous studies,but also raised some new problems.In this paper,video surveillance systems is researched.It includes:①video capture module,convert the data format and make it meet the need of video processing module;②Portation of VedioEncoder X264 on plathform of VDSP and uClinux;③Transmission of video data on the net;④Base on the analysis of uClinux and linux,rule out a way not suitable for this system.On the basis of understanding and anlayse of current system,a plan of video surveillance systems is proposed.Based on the study of video monitoring system,the software system of video capture module and video processing modules are realized.On this basis a parallel processing model of this system is proposed.At the end of the paper,the system's deficiency and the following work on have been present.
