With the presenting of "Digital Oilfield" theory, as well as the wide application of visualization technology in oil fields, oilfield informatization transfered more and more to graphical information from simple digital information. WebGIS is one of the basic technologies of "Digital Oilfield". Therefore, more and more applications of oilfield have been developed and integrated into WebGIS platform. With the increasing of various applications based on WebGIS integration platform, it becomes more and more difficult to maintain the WebGIS integration platform. This maintenance includes not only its own information of WebGIS platform maintenance, but also the professional data and management data maintenance. Because these data is stored in different locations'servers, data maintenance become more difficult. According to these requirements, all these issues are researched in the dissertation. On the basis of WebGIS integration platform data, professional data and management data of oilfields, using metadata and metamodel theories, a maintenance framework of WebGIS integration platform is proposed. Based on this framework, data structure metamodel and topical metamodel is established. Thereinto, the topical metamodel includes dynamic define and management of visual area metamodel, legend editor metamodel, menu customization metamodel and so on.Under the guidance of these metemodels, the maintenance system of WebGIS integration platform is programmed. This system completed the maintenance of data and data structure of distributed databases, ensured data security and data integrity of WebGIS integration platform. Further more, the maintenance, based on topical metamodel, implemented the descrptions of different topical informations, and resolved the sub-thematic maintenance need of WebGIS integration platform. The results of this dissertation have beautiful commonality and expansibility. On the basis of researching this, we can apply them to other domains.
