With the rapid development and extensive application of network technology, the number of network users and resources have also been growing rapidly, which brings great convenience to our lives. At the same time, the management and control of the network resource are also put forward higher requirements. Currently widely used network protocol data acquisition mainly SNMP protocol, TELNET protocol, FTP protocol, NETFLOW and so on. With the SNMP continuously improve the, SNMP security issues have been resolved to some extent, so that rapid development of SNMP. At present, most of the mainstream of network management software are developed based on the SNMP protocol. These network management network management software are designed for large local area network development, managed by the device must also support the SNMP protocol. SNMP occur as a result of the time, as well as equipment vendors to support the SNMP protocol, resulting in a partial access switching equipment at the bottom does not support the SNMP protocol, these devices can not be incorporated into the management of network management software range. The management of these devices, the majority of network administrators or by telnet protocol to connect to these devices, the key in a variety of orders and inquiries in control the equipment. In this paper, based on data collected TELNET protocol, ARP cache table methods to monitor, through the use of TELNET protocol summary for day-to-day network management experience, to find out the inherent laws which formulate the rules of a universal method of combining data collection TELNET characteristics, through the establishment of the network topology to connect the physical form of the model to develop rules to achieve a common data acquisition, and design patterns will be applied to the design process to improve the process scalability and maintainability. TELNET-based protocol through the network management software research and design, to achieve a basis for access to accurate management of the exchange of equipment, ARP virus monitoring and positioning, data acquisition storage and other functions.
