Strategy mechanism plays an important role in bilateral negotiation, which is one of the most active areas in research of Multi-Agent system. Based on the status quo of automated negotiation related theorem and techniques, the model of automated negotiation and strategy of proposal generation are studied in this thesis.Firstly, a bilateral multi-issue model of multi-agent system negotiation (revised MMAN) is proposed and the detailed formalization is described. Moreover, many critical parts in revised MMAN are designed and discussed, including issue expression, mechanism of utility estimation, protocol of negotiation, description of Agent, time reliant proposal generation, and so on. Compared with current research, revised MMAN is more appropriate to cope with qualitative issue in negotiation better via using fuzzy sets. In revised MMAN, the concept of close-degree in fuzzy set is introduced to define a reasonable function of qualitative issue utilization, so qualitative issues can be treated as quantitive issues. Especially, the strategy of proposal generation about qualitative issues is given out to increase the practicability of revised MMAN. Furthermore, the unitary treatment of utility value of single issue is added in current utility estimation part, so as to make the weight coefficient of issue more effective while calculating the holistic utility of negotiation.Secondly, in order to find the optimal solution of negotiation, the fuzzy based approach algorithm and nearest learning method are used to adjust the parameters and configuration of the negotiation system. The precision of proposed method has been validated via using computer simulation and adopted to online learn the function of time reliant proposal generation using historical proposal of opponent agent in current negotiation period. So the future proposal is anticipated and the strategy of self proposal generation is corrected. Finally, the negotiation can be finished successfully and the deal is done fairly.In the end, a bilateral multi-issue negotiation system (BMNs) is designed and realized using Java in the platform of eclipse, and BMNs is used as a platform in which the effectiveness of proposed strategies and algorithms is validated.
