The LBI (long baseline interferometer) passive location technology becomes a hotspot of theoretical and practical interest. However, most recent researches focus on the system calibration of LBI location system boarded on a single moving observer based on the planar wave model, and most of the mainstream passive location methods need to accumulate the data of several pulses. If there are not enough data or the signals are too intricacy, the result will be too bad to locate. Based on this, this dissertation makes research on the instantaneous ranging location principle, location model, the method of ambiguity elimination for phase difference measurement data, and some key technologies, which utilizes a LBI structured system on a signal observer.The paper's issues is focused on LBI Instantaneous Ranging Passive Localization Method and the key technologies in the project. The concrete work is as follows:The second chapter analyzes the instantaneous ranging passive location problem based on the spherical wave model, which utilizes a phase interferometer structured system. Ambiguity elimination for phase difference measurement data is discussed and a possible resolving method is put forward with the principle for ambiguity elimination. Corresponding demands on measurement methods and equipments are also given The method is proved to be correct by the computer simulation. The theoretic precision analysis of the method is deduced. It is pointed out that the measure error of the base-line length cannot be ignored.The third chapter analyzes the instantaneous ranging passive location problem in 3-D space, which utilizes Y-type array phase interferometer structured system. By the calculation of the GDOP in the detection region under various conditions, the precision distribution characteristics of the location method are drawn out. Ambiguity elimination for phase difference measurement data is discussed based on the orthogonal array at last.The forth chapter study some key technologies. such as RADAR pulse signal detection in low SNR situation, high precision phase difference measurement and high precision base line length measurement. Those methods can be applied into engineering.
