Under the modern electronic warfare condition, the passive location technology holding lots of merits, such as broad coverage range, covert receiving, and not easily detected by opposite, has become popular in radar research domain for the recent years. Low precision and slow speed make traditional passive location technology not adapt requirement of modern warfare, but with the development of parameter surveying and signal processing technology, the applications of high accuracy surveying method and high performance processor enable the passive localization technology to have the broader development space. This topic research is a single-station passive location technology which uses phase difference change rate of the non-cooperation radiant signal to ascertain the target's location. In first part of the paper, based on the analysis of the location characteristic, target model is established , the phase difference and its rate change parameter is used, combined with the Modified Gain Extended Kalman Filter algorithm to locate target. Simulation result confirmed this method validity. And analysis indicated several factor influencing the result. In the left paper, essential technology of software and hardware design scheme, systematic simulation is expounded, the DSP and FPGA is selected as the core of system hardware platform. Based on grasping the collectivity of electric circuit system design thought, sub-module design is demonstrated. Finally, aimed at the question of the high speed signal processor in the PCB design, the material solution is given. On the hardware and software, this system has achieved the technical specification of project basically. With the certain practicability, it can provide some technical references for the further research of passive location system.
