The Improvement And Simulation Of Congestion Control Algorithm Of TCP Protocol In Satellite Network

Satellite network supplies ground users various data communication services flexibly and conveniently. As a result, it is popular for operation business and users. But the special space link characteristics of the satellite network has a great influence on congestion control mechanism of TCP protocol and makes the proformance of the protocol decrease severely. According to the problem, the paper regards the high BER characteristics of the satellite link as cutting point, puts forwards a improved scheme of TCP protocol through a detailed analysis of congestion control of TCP protocol and designs a congestion control impoved algorithm of TCP protocol based on the scheme.The paper does some research on three aspects and gains some fruits:(1) The paper does some research on the proformance problem of TCP protocol in satellite network, makes qualitative and quantitative analysis on unfavorable influences on congestion control of TCP protocol which the space link characteristics of the satellite network brings.(2) Combining with the frontal conclusions and by the research on two kinds of congestion control algorithms, the paper gives a congestion control proved scheme of TCP protocol based on satellite network according to the high BER characteristics of the satellite link. The proved scheme uses the method of network bandwidth estimation to make accurate judgement on the reasons of the loss of message segment and adopts the corresponding congestion control strategies.(3) Based on the proved scheme, the paper designs a congestion control algorithm of TCP protocol named TCP-BEVR which is based on network bandwidth estimation and does simulation experiments on proformance of TCP-BEVR in satellite network by the network simulation tools named NS2. The results of the experiments proves that the TCP-BEVR has a good proformance in satellite network.
