Laser has many merits such as homochromatic, orientation and coherency. It is widely used in the high accuracy distance measurement for all fields of work with the development of the electronics technique. In the first chapter of this thesis, the theory of laser range finder is introduced. For Armed Police Water and Electricity Force requirements, phase-shift laser rangefinders can be greatly improved the efficiency of work to replace the existing measurement methods.When designing a phase-shift laser rangefinder, it is very important for the designer to choose the frequency of the signal send out by the signal source, whose size can directly affect the rangefinder's measurement range. It's an important component of the laser rangefinder system.The hardware frame and the methods to calculating the power parameters are mainly discussed in this thesis. With regard to the hardware design, we use the 89C51 to control the AD which can sample the echo signal. The communication part of this system provides the interface to the user, and it can receive the upper's commands, set parameters and transmit the information.Finally some advice for improve of the performance are given to make the laser rangefinder work better in future. |
