The self propelled straight-arm type aerial working platform is taken as the study object in the subject. A virtual prototype model for the straight-arm type aerial working platform was established with 3D moulding software solidworks, dynamic simulation software Admas. Probe and application of the virtual prototype technology are taken as the study avenue for the aerial working equipment.It analyses the components and operating principle of the aerial working platform by the aid of technology theory of the virtual prototyping based on studying the complete appliance system of the aerial working platform. It mainly analyses the kinematic of the equipment and compares the velocity, acceleration of the working platform when the working platform is lifted with different ways, which provides a theoretical base for the operation and design of the aerial working platform. It analyses the effects of the constrained force of the hinge point in different lifting ways. It prepares for calculate load requested for performing finite element analysis.The tire-road model for the aerial working platform was built in ADAMS. It verifies the stability of the aerial working platform on the flat road surface. At last, we discussed the effects of the lifting speed, operation load and the arm stiffness on the working platform. Besides, we studied the changing rules of the amplitude with change of various parameters.This thesis provides us a theoretical foundation for the operation and design of the aerial working platform. It has certain referential value for the design and exploitation of the aerial working platform of the same type.
