Investigation Of Opera Program's Development

As a native-born program form, the presentation of opera program symbolizes that Chinese TV program has transformed from past complete clone into a new era of combination of bring-in and innovation, and it's also the innovative achievement of Chinese media people. After the development in past years, we embarrassedly found that opera program is not as flourishing as before. Many TV stations pursue the audience rating and arouse some harmful effects to the development of opera program. There are some disharmonious elements occurred in the procedures from program making to transmitting, and from transmitting effects to audiences responses, and the present development of opera program has encountered an obstacle. How to make it good enough to meet the taste of the audiences, and how to ensure the audience rating and high social benefit have become big problems the opera program is facing in the developing procedure.This paper begins with the definition of "opera program", and confirms the position and features of the program form through comparing with other program forms. It also analyzes the reason why the opera program is so flourishing in resent years through three aspects of market factors, inside motive and following mentality, and presents the developing problems of opera program from content to form and from making to working on the base of introducing the developing history and current state of it, while taking the angle of communication and Aesthetics, and analyzing the problems with relative theories. It gives some suggestions through the content strategy, media strategy, following mentality strategy and vendition strategy to solve the existing problems, and brings forward the prospects through the conception, making, management and theories researching of opera program in the end.
