With the accelerated pace of life in modern social, cardiovascular disease has become one of the most serious threat to human health. ECG is an important basis for a clinical diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases. There is a growing concern for the health, and so a portable ECG monitor becomes more and more popular. With the increasing development of chip and communication technologies, SCM become more comprehensive while prices keep falling, so the ECG monitoring system which uses SCM and mature short-range wireless communication technology as the core will become popular in future.In this paper, basing on the in-depth research on the ECG acquisition, processing technologies, a low-power, convenient and fast ECG monitoring system has been successfully designed with system-on-a-chip C8051F family of devices and NRF24L01. This paper is made up of the following parts:The basic principle, system structure, estimation criterion of the ECG monitoring system have been realized and the elements of the system have been chosen by analyzing the present development status of international and domestic.By using C8051F family of devices and Micro-power wireless communication chip NRF24L01 as the main chips, this hardware system has achieved the objective of low-power and convenience.Debugging and validation have been made to make sure that the hardware system is in order and on this basis system initialization and software design are completed. At last, the whole system has been tested and it achieved the purpose of ECG acquisition and wireless transmission.All results have proved that the design of ECG acquisition and wireless transmission presented by this paper is practicable and it has particular advantages of power, speed and convenience.
