With the rapid development of the Internet, the applications that the IP network have been evolving from pure data to the integrated applications of data, audio, video and etc. The technology of IP network is based on packet exchanging, which faces a number of problems when proceeding data package transmission, including dislocation caused by transmission paths, losing of data package by network traffic and time delay and jitter of the transmission. The best-effort way of working of the IP network is not capable of guaranteeing a low losing rate of data package and time delay of the transmission, and furthermore it is hard for the network to distinguish different users and applications to satisfy the service requirements that raised by the network subscribers. As a result, the engineering and realization of Qos of IP network has become the driving force of the development of Internet and Intranet.Aiming at the nature of the IP network and the requirements to the quality of the network that raised by the subscribers after the growth of IP network application, the article proposes a system structure to guarantee the quality of network service, performs an analysis to Intserv system and DiffServ system( two relatively matured technical models of service quality), and does some focused research on the Diffserv model and has realized end-to-end QoS engineering with the application of DiffServ. The end-to-end QoS engineering is mostly business-based, and therefore the article does an analysis to the QoS baseline standards by its business categories and does some research to the guidelines of QoS engineering, including General, classifying and labeling, controlling and degrading as well as queuing and discarding. Based on the guidelines, the article has done some engineering on the Intranet of Juhua Group Corporation to be guaranteed with QoS and MPLS VPN network that applied among its out-stationed offices and branches and the headquarters in order to guarantee the service quality of the company's network. There is a good result.
