The Research And Application Of Embedded Terrain Visualization Technology In Police System

With the popularity of mobile devices, embedded platform development is very important. It is a relatively new issue how to achieve terrain visualization in the embedded platform.In this paper, according to application demand, we research embedded terrain visualization technology's application in the police system.Firstly, This paper expound police system terrain visualization's background and significance of the development; analyse the characteristics of the terrain data, terrain visualization and theory's foundation of embedded system. It gives a police system terrain visualization's design programme on the basis of the above theory, including the system's overall system architecture, the design process, function modules, and so on. Functional modules including data input module, data preprocessing modules, terrain modeling and simplify modules, terrain scheduling module and terrain display module, and so on.In terrain modeling module, we analyse terrain modeling method and terrain simplified algorithm, bring forward a algorithm which based on the relevant viewpoint of the multi-resolution terrain division simplified algorithm. The algorithm is based on multi-resolution grid of thinking, consider the factors viewpoint, through reduce the number of sampling points, and establish a level-of-detail model. It is easy to realize the terrain simplified.In terrain data scheduling module, we redeploy terrain data in police system by the terrain division technology, meanwhile put forward a scheduling method which is based on pre-scenes.Finally, in the terrain data scheduling module, according to former theoretical research results, we realize terrain visualization of police system by software. Then, we take advantage of embedded development platform of Visual Studio 2005 and embedded development tools OpenGL ES in order to simulate terrain display. It achieves terrain modeling and dynamic display in police system. Meanwhile through the texture mapped, terrain atomization and the roam of terrain, the terrain with reality has been enhanced.
