Embedded Intelligent Surveillance System Based On TCP/IP Network

Traditional PC-based multimedia surveillance system has a long history of development as an important security & defence means. It has been widely applied in security, production process and community monitoring. With the development of network transmission technology, embedded technology, the vision tracking technology as well as the cost reducing, reliability improving and intelligence adding requirement, remote intelligent Video Surveillance System is becoming a new focus.Finishing remote Video Surveillance System based on embedded Linux, this paper combines embedded technology and Internet technology. The system's grab-end's hardware is S3C2440 chip based on ARM9, OS is embedded Linux and service program is a Demon waiting for surveillance-end's connect then serves it. Achieving remote monitoring and parameter settings on the LAN and even the Internet, this paper implements the basic platform of remote intelligent Video Surveillance System.After introducing the structure of existing monitoring system and this surveillance system, and describing technologies and development environment, this paper is divided into 4 parts: hardware architecture designing, bootstrap loader analyzing and transplanting, OS transplanting with drivers coding, and application software analyzing and designing. The part of hardware architecture exhibits hardware circuit design of surveillance-end. The part of bootstrap loader shows U-Boot's analysis and transplantation. The part of OS with drivers details on embedded linux's transplantation, USB-interface-camera driver's implementation, Video4Linux's manipulation, pan-tilt driver's implementation and root file system's accomplishment. The part of application software describes application software'analysis and design for both grab-end and surveillance-end.Finally, showing the system's function of monitoring remote environment through LAN even Internet network, the subject achieves scheduled goal.
