Communications network should not only provide high-quality service, but also to meet new business needs.At present, there exist shortcomings of Ethernet such as the poor real-time and complex with integrated data transmission. In order to transmit different business, different data structures, different data rate, and different connection signal in one network, Wideband Intergrated Digital Optical Synchronous Network has been designed.It is in the basis of Synchronous Digital Hierarchy, optical fiber communications, and SOPC technology. It sends the specified information at a fixed time slot, and fulfills the functions of traditional switches with distributed data processing model. It can achieve the separation of transmission and control.Transmission systems of Wideband Intergrated Digital Optical Synchronous Network is researched and designed.It is between nodes and centralizer.Paper introduces the characteristics of system and the structure of network-frame,then analyses the methods and principles of a variable rate of data transmission in nodes,as well as network bandwidth allocation.Modules of system are designed.Using Altera's Quartus II software, it has finished the design of modules of the data transmission between nodes and centralizer, including data synchronization, access operation of FIFO buffer, system clock and controling and dealing modules of data transmission of variable rate. Paper gives each idea's advantages and disadvantages and points out the ultimately adopted one, as well as gives all the key modules of the circuit and the wave simulation.It has finished the layout of whole circuit with the Protel software. It discribes the process of schematic design particularly, discussing the reasons of choosing the components on the PCB and intrducing the function and design principle of modules.Finally, tests the hardware and further proves the accuracy and reliability of the design, then discussed the improvement of design, which accelerates the speed of Wideband Intergrated Digital Optical Synchronous Network to carry out.
